Solutions for measuring turbidity and suspended sediment concentration (SSC)
Converting turbidity to suspended sediment concentration (SSC) requires taking samples, as turbidity is dependent on so many properties of the material in the water.
There’s an easier way to get this accomplished with the AQUAlogger 310TY.
With the new AQUAlogger 310TY
the task of taking samples can be made less onerous by using conversion tools built into optical backscatter instruments, such as the SSC Converter. This allows you to input your samples, calculate your conversion, and then apply it to your turbidity data. If this is set up prior to deployment, you can output relevant SSC data in real time.
The AQUAlogger 310TY can provide turbidity data from zero to over 10,000FTU without the need for gain or range adjustments. Many other turbidity loggers require this adjustment to obtain the best data from either a low or high turbidity level measurement. The AQUAlogger 310TY provides a number of very useful features including a colour coded LED “Shake to Show” that enables researchers to quickly see the status of their logger.
